THE BARK BOARD IS VERY SURPRISED AND SADDENED BY THE RECENT DECISION OF THE KANKAKEE COUNTY BOARD. WE WILL CEASE ALL FUNDRAISING EFFORTS AND SEEK LEGAL ADVISE IN REGARDS TO THE FUNDS ALREADY RAISED. THERE HAS BEEN SOME CONFUSION ON SOCIAL MEDIA IN REGARD TO THE PROPERTY LOCATED ON RT 45/52. BARK DID NOT PURCHASE THAT PROPERTY. IT WAS PURCHASED BY ANIMAL CONTROL FROM THE ANIMAL CONTROL FUND.
BARK is the fundraising arm for Kankakee County Animal Control. Help us raise proceeds for a new shelter to benefit the stray and homeless animals of Kankakee County.
To assist Kankakee County Animal Control and Adoption Center (KCAC) in building a new, properly equipped shelter that houses the county's homeless animals.
To assist with raising awareness for the healthy, friendly animals sheltered at animal control, providing information regarding the adoption and or placements of them.
To assist KCAC with the operational expenses of maintaining the shelter.
To assist and promote animal health and welfare education, in the community.
